Job Type: Full Time

RESPONSIBLE TO: Management Accountant

Responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited) to the following: 

Purchase Ledger

  • Process and match inventory invoices to goods receipts

  • Code and check incoming purchase invoices

  • Check and reconcile supplier statements

  • Construct and perform bacs payment runs

  • Deal with purchase enquiries

  • Process staff expenses/Company Credit Card Expenses

  • File invoices and statements

  • Reconcile Inter Company Ledger

Bank

  • Post bank transactions into the general ledger daily and investigate any issues

  • Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations

  • Manage petty cash

  • Update the daily cashflow analysis

Sales ledger

  • Manage the sales ledger and ensure receipts are correctly allocated

  • Weekly reporting of overdue debt

  • Generate and send customer statements in line with Company procedures

Person specification

In order to be successful in the role, you will:

  • Need to have previous experience in similar purchase ledger-based roles (Ideally within an SME environment).

  • Be adept in the use of MS office products (Excel skills are ESSENTIAL)

  • Have completed, or be studying towards an accountancy qualification such as AAT (DESIRABLE)

  • Able to communicate in a professional manner to colleagues, customers and suppliers

  • Previous experience of Epicor Tropos would be an advantage

Salary: £18,000.00 to £20,000.00 /year
